FaithInvest exists to 'support faith organisations seeking to invest in line with their values to achieve environmental and social impact'. One of the ways we seek to achieve this is by providing 'insightful training, education, exchange and collaboration' through events such as the Quarterly FCI Forum.

This week we look back at the FCI Forum series to date, even as we plan for the final Forum of 2025 in December, which will focus on FCI in the Evangelical Community.

Since the series began in 2023, our Forums have featured senior faith leaders and faith- and values-based investors from a wide range of traditions. For your part, our subscribers and members of the FCI Interest Group have increased attendance dramatically, from just a few dozen at the start of the series to as many as 200 per Forum today.

The Forums have focused on FCI in the context of a variety of faith traditions, using an array of investment tools and techniques for implementation. Here's what we've covered so far since the series began:

  • Ethical Oversight Committees and Faith-based Investments with guest Andrew Harper of Epworth Investments

  • Climate Investing in Developing Markets using blended finance instruments, with representatives from the Green Climate Fund

  • Getting Started and Advancing FCI with David Marrett, Finance Director for the Society of the Holy Child Jesus

  • Investing with Jewish Values with Rabbi Jacob Siegal and speakers from Mercer and JLENS

  • Al-Mizan and Islamic Finance with Dr. Iyad Abumoghli, UNEP, and Omar Shaikh, Global Ethical Finance Initiative

  • The Power of Shareholder Engagement with Tim Smith of the ICCR and Emily Demasi of Federated Hermes

  • FCI and Catholic Social Teaching with Jean-Baptiste de Franssu, President of the IOR (Vatican Bank), John O'Shaughnessy, Treasurer and CIO of Franciscan Sisters of Mary, and Petra Vujakovic, Impact Investment at Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart

  • FCI and the Journey to Impact, with Sylvia Poniecki, Director of Impact Investments at Wespath, Theresa Robinson, the Executive Director of the Raskob Foundation, and Christopher Rowe, CFA, the Managing Director of Investments at The Church Pension Fund.

We hope you have found the series informative and motivating as your organisations progress with FCI. What would you like to see us cover in Quarterly FCI Forums to come? Drop us a line at info@faithinvest.org and let us know!

Meanwhile, mark your calendars for December 4th and register now for the next Quarterly FCI Forum on FCI in the Evangelical Community. We'll be announcing our speaker line up soon!
