The highly regarded GreenMoney Journal has published a feature on our recently revised and greatly expanded publication, From Faith Values to Investment.

The guest feature, written by FaithInvest's Director of Communications Susie Weldon, describes the report's comprehensive overview of faith-consistent investing (FCI), including case studies and essential steps for establishing an FCI programme.
In addition, the feature describes the current investment environment and landscape for FCI, one in which assets in faith-based exchange-traded and mutual funds hit $100 billion for the first time last year, jumping by 14% in the 15 months leading up to June 2024, according to a survey by faith-based investment advisory Brightlight.
This growth reflects what FaithInvest describes as ‘a significant change in attitudes’ towards faith-based investing since it was founded in 2019,’ says FaithInvest Executive Chair Dave Zellner: ‘Many more faith organisations are talking about the importance of investing in line with their values, and investment providers are taking notice.’
However, adopting faith-consistent investing policies and practices can be daunting, especially for smaller or mid-sized religious organisations which often lack in-house investment knowledge or expertise. These groups usually rely on external financial intermediaries to manage their investments, and often lack confidence when it comes to introducing significant changes to their investment policies. The report is intended to provide support and guidance for such faith groups, a service which FaithInvest also provides directly to any member of its network subscriber base, now at over 3,000 individuals from over 650 organisations world wide. Services include educational programmes like the Faithful Finance course, which provides training in the fundamentals of FCI, and crucially, an Investment Policy assessment service for faith groups to get a clearer view about the faith alignment of their investments, and ideas for doing more.
As Zellner stresses: ‘Every dollar aligned with faith values becomes a force for positive change. This combination of values, financial influence, and institutional independence positions faith organisations to lead in shaping a more just, sustainable, and values-driven economy.’
